Festa Major Mural

For Associació de Veïnes i Veïns de La Satalia

The neighbours association commissioned me to paint a 10 meters long mural during the celebration of the neighbourhood. I have made this design and on the day of the celebration, I painted it in collaboration with many of my neighbours, from 4 years to 75 years old! The wall was a brick wall in very bad condition, but we did our best. I am very happy that so many people took part in that collective experience.

Regarding the design, I wanted to reflect the diversity of fauna and flora of my neighbourhood, Montjuic, which is a very green and wild area in Barcelona.

The result

Below are a few pics of the process painting the mural, swipe to see them all.

30 or 40 neighbours and friends participated along the day!

The wall was made of very irregular bricks, which was very difficult to paint, but everyone had a good time.

Thanks to Pep Gràcia for the photos and to everyone who helped.
